Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Equipment Manager to lead our team in ensuring the reliability and operational efficiency of medical equipment throughout our organization. In this critical role, you will oversee the maintenance, repair, and management of advanced biomedical equipment, optimizing performance to enhance patient care.
Responsibilities
Equipment Management and Maintenance:
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs for biomedical equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance on a variety of medical devices and systems.
- Oversee equipment repair processes, ensuring timely resolutions and minimizing downtime.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead a team of biomedical technicians, providing mentorship and guidance to enhance their technical skills and career development.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to assess equipment needs and address any operational issues that impact patient care.

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in biomedical equipment management or a similar role within a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical device technologies, including imaging systems, patient monitoring systems, and therapeutic equipment.
- Proven track record of managing a team and driving performance improvements.
Preferred:
- Certification from a recognized biomedical equipment technician (BMET) organization.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and their integration with biomedical equipment.
- Advanced knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality management systems within healthcare.
