Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Community Health Program Manager to lead and optimize our community health initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating health programs that address the unique needs of diverse populations, ensuring equitable access to health resources and fostering community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage community health programs that align with organizational goals and community needs.
- Conduct needs assessments and utilize data-driven insights to guide program development and improvement.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, community organizations, and stakeholders to enhance program reach and effectiveness.
- Monitor and evaluate program outcomes and impact, utilizing metrics and feedback to inform continuous improvement.
- Develop educational materials and resources to promote health literacy and empower community members.
- Lead outreach efforts and community engagement activities to build trust and rapport within target populations.
- Provide training and support to staff and volunteers involved in program delivery.
- Prepare and manage program budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and compliance with funding requirements.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Public Health, Social Work, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in program management within community health or public health settings.
- Proven ability to lead community engagement initiatives and build partnerships.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in data analysis and program evaluation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
Preferred:
- Experience working with underserved populations and knowledge of health equity principles.
- Familiarity with grant writing and management.
- Experience with health promotion strategies and community-based participatory research.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, or similar).
- Experience with program management software and tools.
- Knowledge of public health informatics and health communication strategies.
