Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and driven Chief Security Officer (CSO) to lead our organization's security initiatives and ensure the integrity of our data and technology. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive security strategies that protect our assets, both physical and digital, while fostering a culture of security awareness throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a robust security strategy aligned with the overall business objectives of the organization
- Lead efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate security risks, including threats to information, systems, and personnel
- Oversee the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Manage and mentor a high-performing security team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into all aspects of business operations, including IT, operations, and product development
- Serve as the primary point of contact for security incidents, conducting investigations and ensuring timely resolutions
- Engage with external stakeholders, including law enforcement and regulatory bodies, to enhance the organization's security posture
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in security management, with a focus on information security and risk management
- Proven track record of developing and executing security strategies in a complex organization
- Deep understanding of security frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR)
- Experience managing security incidents and conducting investigations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive change across the organization
Preferred:
- Advanced degree in a related field (e.g., Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Business Administration)
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA
- Experience in a technology-driven industry, particularly in fintech or healthcare
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in security technologies and best practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption
- Proficiency in risk assessment and vulnerability management tools
- Familiarity with cloud security principles and technologies
