NFP is hiring a Client Advocate which is a full-time position, working with the Benefits Administration and Claims Advocacy teams. The position requires day to day claims advocacy and employee level support for multiple clients. While in this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintain relationships internally, with clients and their employees, carriers, and other partner representatives. This role entails a great deal of verbal, electronic, and other written communications and work is completed with a significant amount of independent discretion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison between insurance providers and clients regarding employee status and eligibility for coverage.
  • Resolve standard claim issues and provide assistance with complex or non-standard claim appeals.
  • Verify completion and validity of claim forms.
  • Review company records to determine coverage.
  • Resolve day-to-day employee level inquiries (e.g., assistance understanding benefits, provider searches, etc.)
  • Collaborate with consultant and other senior team members for complex service inquiries.
  • Ensure all client data is entered into CRM System (Salesforce) in a timely manner.
  • Partner with leadership and operations to streamline processes to deliver service more efficiently and effectively.
  • Flex to support special projects at the direction of operations leadership in support of account management team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and consistently makes independent judgements subject to general supervisor support.

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, Worksite, and HSA Plans
  • Experience with Insurance Carrier self-service portals
  • Experience with Benefits Administration systems (e.g., Rippling, Ease, Namely, Zenefits, etc.)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Vigorous attention to detail, highly-organized with the ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of benefits administration, brokerage operations, HealthCare reform and carrier products and services
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Ability to prioritize competing priorities and effective time management
  • Ability to work independently and anticipate leadership and team needs
  • Diligent follow up skills
  • Ability to express ideas clearly in both written and oral communications
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills

Education and/or Experience:

  • BA/BS preferred or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a client-facing service role

Certificates, Licenses, Registration:

  • Life, Accident and Health Insurance License

The base salary range for this position is $50,000 – $68,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
