Job Overview

Davies US is looking for an experienced Technical Project Team Lead to lead a team of Senior System Engineers and Project Support Engineers working on multiple projects. You will provide both technical and people management to the team with both permanent and contract staff across the globe. Reporting to the Technical Value Manager, you will focus on process improvements to ensure the team are working efficiently and delivery to the highest standard. You will promote a continuous improvement mindset across the function.

To be successful in this role, you need to be proactive, independent, and takes initiative with consistent follow through, have superb communication skills, verbal and written, conducted in a timely manner and superior time management skills with capability of working with and meeting deadlines. You must have at experience of overseeing and managing complex projects and technologies, experience of people management, experience with Window Operating Systems and Active Directory management, experience with Virtualized infrastructure and systems, experience with Microsoft Exchange and 0365, experience with Networking, experience with Storage and experience with Telephony . Additionally, you will need to exhibit discretion with sensitive and confidential information and display a comfort level working with key people at all levels within an organization. This role is a full-time, home-based.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Ensure delivery of the portfolio of projects working closely with Program Leads
  • Provide technical guidance to ensure teams adhere to process and standards
  • Work collaboratively with Technical Solutions Architect
  • Manage all technical aspects of the Steerco Calls with the Stakeholders
  • Work with Stakeholders to ensure collaborative working and technical solution is understood
  • Support the development of process improvement across the department
  • Ensure all documentation is completed to standard
  • Support the transition process to ensure successful handover to Service
  • Recruit and develop staff
  • Escalate issues to the Program Lead and Head of Department Exhibit company values of We are Dynamic, We are Innovative, We are Connected, and We Succeed Together
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Qualifications

Required

  • Experience of overseeing and managing complex projects and technologies
  • A highly focused customer service approach, with excellent interpersonal and people management skills
  • Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical staff
  • Experience of people management
  • Experience with Window Operating Systems and Active Directory management
  • Experience with Virtualized infrastructure and systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange and 0365
  • Experience with Networking
  • Experience with Storage
  • Experience with Telephony

Preferred

  • IT related Degree and/or Microsoft certifications - MSCE, MCITP
  • Proven ability to produce high quality deliverables in terms of content and presentation
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Position Type, Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is a home-based, full time, salaried, exempt position that predominantly operates remotely from a professional home-based office environment routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, photocopiers, and scanners and requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk while working on a computer. While performing the duties of this job, the individual will be required to regularly hear and talk. This is a largely sedentary role requiring the ability to sit at a desk, reach outward, use a phone, have use of fingers to operate office equipment such as a keyboard, mouse, phone, printer, copier, and to reach above the head, bend, or stand as necessary.
