The DMS Embedded Systems Feature Development Team plays a vital role in formulating and executing the In Station Process Control and Test (ISPCT) strategy.

This position focuses on implementing and executing Distributed Test systems and features for In-Station Process Control and Testing. We are in search of a skilled and dynamic specialist in test and diagnostics development for our next-generation vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in vehicle diagnostics and embedded test systems.

  • Collaborate with Architecture and Strategy teams to develop new diagnostics-during-assembly strategies.
  • Support the validation and integration of the Distributed Test System into the manufacturing process in Final Assembly Engineering.
  • Validate the creation of distributed tests for affected parts and failure modes in our next-generation quality system.
  • Participate in testing and validation activities at the embedded system level to ensure reliability and performance in the EV testing environment.
  • Integrate current end-of-line tooling applications with the Manufacturing Control Systems (MCS) to enhance manufacturing process control and testing capabilities as per the ISPCT strategy.
  • Develop test scripts according to the latest GGDS and DoIP specifications to ensure accurate and comprehensive testing of vehicle components.
  • Integrate the next-generation Distributed Test System into the Workstation and Automation Software for In-Station Process Control & Testing.
  • Verify that the Test Layout aligns with the defined Cycle Line Layout at the workstation level.
  • Install and implement new equipment and technology for testing to support the DoIP and Distributed test strategy.
  • Engage with Manufacturing IT and Cyber Security teams to resolve technical issues.

Miniumum Qualifications:

  • Automotive manufacturing experience and supplier project management skills.
  • Product development experience with Electrical systems, EDS, or module design.
  • Product development experience with Powertrain and Chassis systems.
  • Expertise in vehicle electrical architecture development or functional testing.
  • Knowledge of automotive diagnostic communication protocols (CAN, DoIP, LIN, etc.).
  • Understanding of plant IT infrastructure (network design and server applications).
  • Proficiency in diagnostics and vehicle repair.
  • Familiarity with computer hardware, software, and wireless technologies.
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, web-based reporting systems).
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of PFMEA and Failure Mode Avoidance principles.
