About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced watercolour illustrator to help bring a story to life through stunning and emotionally charged illustrations that will accompany the text. This is a single job assignment that will extend for more than a week. The illustrator can work remotely with no requirement to be on location. The author is open to receiving offers regarding the project budget.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the author to understand the story's concept, characters, and overall vision.
• Create original, captivating watercolour illustrations that effectively complement and enhance the written narrative.
• Ensure that the illustrations convey the intended emotions and tone of the story.
• Develop character designs and bring them to life through expressive and visually appealing watercolour paintings.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a professional watercolor illustrator, with a strong portfolio showcasing children's book illustrations and character designs.
• Excellent watercolor painting skills and a deep understanding of color theory, composition, and visual storytelling techniques.
• Ability to capture emotions and convey a sense of wonder and imagination through illustrations.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately interpret and visualize written descriptions.
