The Opportunity

As Program Manager - Talent Management, you will play a critical role in providing strategic and operational leadership for Ulteig’s talent management programs. Your focus will be to facilitate a high-performing and development focused culture to ensure we have robust talent pipelines to support our future needs. Reporting to the Talent Director, this role leads implementation and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide solutions and processes for talent management including performance management, succession planning, talent review, and organizational competencies. This role is responsible for working with our business area leaders and HR partners to design, update and manage talent management programs including the supporting systems, tools, resources, planning, communications/training, and metrics. Additionally, this role will serve as a change management practitioner for HR led changes, utilizing Ulteig’s change management framework.

What You’ll Do

Leads the implementation and management of our portfolio of talent management programs including (but not limited to): Performance Management, Succession Planning, Talent Review, and Competencies. You’ll work closely with business leadership and HR partners to identify needs, design/develop/update programs, provide program training, manage the administration of systems, tools and resources, and establish/track talent management metrics.

  • Succession Planning and Talent Review – Develops and/or enhances program processes, systems, tools and training for talent assessment, talent review, and succession planning practices to ensure robust talent pipelines for the future. Works closely with HR Business Partner team and business leaders to ensure successful execution of succession and talent planning processes and consults on follow-up actions to address pipeline gaps. May support the executive-level succession planning process. Utilizes data/analytics to share key trends with stakeholders to inform development and other talent needs.
  • Performance management – Manages the performance management program including goal setting, quarterly check-ins, and annual review processes and all supporting systems, tools, training, and communications. Develops performance reporting and shares required data with Total Rewards to support the merit/incentive cycle. Works closely with HR partners to ensure our processes support a high-performance culture and ensures alignment and integration with total rewards processes and philosophies.
  • Competencies – Manages Ulteig’s Leadership Dimensions (competencies) for all levels across the organization. Through partnerships with HR peers, ensures competencies are integrated into talent programs and processes. May lead or support the redesign of our competencies, as needed, to align with identified future capability needs.
  • Change Management – Serves as a change management subject matter expert and practitioner (utilizing Ulteig’s Change Management framework) to provide guidance and support to HR team project leaders. Participates as a member of Ulteig’s change management community of practice to learn and share best practices.
  • May support additional programs, projects, or duties, as assigned.

What We Expect from You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 7 years of experience leading the design, development, and management of talent programs, or related experience providing equivalent knowledge
  • Experience leading the design, implementation and training of talent management systems and associated processes
  • Change Management certification or experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of leading practices and innovations in talent management
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects successfully, including the ability to collaborate with peers and business partners, influence across the organization, develop strategies/deliverables, track/measure progress, and coordinate, develop, and implement project plans with autonomy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent program management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Ability to travel occasionally
  • Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S.

Additional Opportunity Details:

Compensation Range is Generally +/- 15% of Position Mid-Point of $121,000*
* The salary displayed represents the middle of a range. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your job specific skills, education, training, job location, number of years of experience related to this role and comparison to other employees already in this role
