Responsibilities

- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including obtaining patient histories and preparing patients for procedures.
- Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment, ensuring high-quality imaging and adherence to safety protocols.
- Document findings accurately in medical records and communicate results to the healthcare team promptly.
- Educate patients about the procedures, ensuring they understand the process and feel comfortable.
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient satisfaction.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or equivalent credential.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in vascular technology or a related field.
- Proficient in performing and interpreting carotid, venous, and arterial duplex studies.
- Strong understanding of vascular anatomy and pathology.
Preferred:
- Experience with advanced imaging modalities such as Doppler ultrasound and transcranial Doppler ultrasound.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and documentation standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and patient safety.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using ultrasound equipment and related technologies.
- Experience with diagnostic testing procedures and image interpretation.
- Knowledge of patient care protocols and best practices in vascular imaging.
