Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Dialysis Nursing to lead our innovative dialysis program. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing dialysis treatments, ensuring compliance with clinical standards and best practices while fostering a culture of excellence and patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage dialysis nursing operations, including staffing, budget management, and strategic planning to enhance service delivery
- Develop and implement clinical protocols and guidelines to ensure the highest standards of care and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and enhance the overall care experience
- Monitor clinical quality metrics and drive quality improvement initiatives to achieve organizational goals
- Provide mentorship, training, and support to nursing staff, promoting professional development and a culture of continuous learning
- Engage with patients and families to address concerns and ensure satisfaction with care services
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license and a minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, including 3 years in a leadership role in a dialysis setting
- Strong knowledge of dialysis treatment modalities, patient care standards, and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage complex projects, and drive clinical excellence
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration
- Certification in Nephrology Nursing (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN)
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and patient management software
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in utilizing EHR systems and telehealth technologies to enhance patient care
- Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies and performance measurement tools
- Familiarity with data analytics to inform clinical decision-making and operational efficiency
