We are seeking an exceptional Generative ML Engineer with a profound understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and a strong background in Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) or Text-to-Speech (TTS) systems. You will play a pivotal role in integrating cutting-edge LLM technology into our ASR or TTS solutions.

Your main responsibility will be

  • Architect, design, and implement state-of-the-art generative AI models for ASR or TTS applications through the proficient use of LLMs.

  • Leverage your expertise to effectively train, fine-tune, and optimize LLMs, shaping them for optimal accuracy, naturalness, and performance within ASR or TTS domains.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams comprising data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts. By understanding their requirements, you will collaboratively develop customized ASR or TTS solutions that leverage the prowess of LLMs.

  • Innovate and enhance existing ASR or TTS models by integrating the power of LLMs, thereby ensuring optimal performance and speed even on resource-constrained platforms.

  • Advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.

  • Exceptional programming skills in Python along with a strong ability to implement complex machine learning algorithms.

  • Proven track-record in developing ASR or TTS systems, successfully working with diverse elements such as acoustic models, language models, and pronunciation models.

  • Possess strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and a collaborative mindset, ensuring you can thrive within our fast-paced and innovative environment.

Please provide us with your CV, highlighting any relevant publications, research work, or open-source contributions that emphasize your expertise in LLM, ASR, or TTS domains.

At Cerence, we value thought leadership and mentorship, and we're looking for someone who can contribute to our culture in these areas.
