As we continue to expand our offerings and client base, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented UI Engineer to join our growing and dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for accelerating Intapp's product development.

What you will do:

As a UI Engineer at Intapp, you will have a pivotal role in maintaining, expanding, and growing our design system to support and impact most core user journeys and products developed at Intapp today and into the future.

Our goal is to enable and drive faster, more efficient product development and build a more cohesive experience for our customers. The Intapp design system is vital to that objective.

In this role of a UI Engineer, you can expect to:

• Scale the Design Systems team by developing CSS, web components and packages to be used across Intapp’s suite of products

• Build and maintain a component catalog, polish UI components to the highest standard of visual design and performance

• Maintain accessibility standards within the design system foundations and components

• Collaborate with designers to establish our interaction patterns and visual language, and develop how it gets propagated through tooling for design and engineering teams

• Articulate design decisions across design to engineering and vice versa

• Collaborate with design, engineering, and strategy teams to ensure that design system is cohesive, consistent, and easy to use across all workflows

• Collaborate with engineers across the organization to adopt design system components, patterns and style libraries

• Create up-to-date and easy to follow documentation for design system usage

• Encourage developer contribution and evaluate pull requests

What you will need:

Intapp is looking for intellectually curious, self-motivated professionals who like to get hands-on to contribute to the overall success of the business and their team. To apply for this UI Engineer, you will ideally have:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

• 5+ years of experience (non-internship) in professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS

• Experience in a broad range of software design approaches and common UX patterns

• Proficient in at least one JavaScript framework like React, Angular, VueJS, Svelte or equivalent.

• Ability to write clean, idiomatic and typed production-level TypeScript code

• Experience with CSS3 and LESS/Sass (ability to write mixins, partials, functions, etc) and usage in large scale applications

• Deep knowledge of, NPM, Webpack, Vite, Babel or other toolchains

• Experience of working in a Git workflow

• Knowledge of accessibility best practices

• Expertise with Figma; familiarity and experience using design system frameworks like ZeroHeight or Invision DSM

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams at all levels of the organization

• Strong writing and documentation skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to break down complex problems

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in design system contribution, development or usage

• Familiarity with web components and libraries such as Lit or Stencil

• Familiarity with NPM package management and CI/CD workflows

• Familiarity with Enterprise scale data and performance requirements
