Principal Contract Specialist

Job Description:We are seeking a seasoned Principal Contract Specialist to oversee and manage the contract lifecycle for our organization. This position is fully remote, but candidates must reside near Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large-scale contracts, possess excellent negotiation skills, and be highly proficient in contract law and regulations.
Responsibilities:Manage the entire contract lifecycle, from initial negotiation to contract execution and closeout.Negotiate and draft complex contracts, including master service agreements, procurement contracts, and vendor agreements.Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on contract terms, risks, and compliance requirements.Review and analyze contract terms and conditions to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and operations, to facilitate contract negotiations and resolve contract disputes.Monitor contract performance and compliance throughout the contract lifecycle.Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to contract management.
Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, or related field.10+ years of experience in contract management, with a proven track record of managing large-scale contracts.Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) or equivalent Level 3 contract certification preferred.Strong understanding of contract law, regulations, and compliance requirements.Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
