Summary
As a Bookkeeper/accountant, you’ll help to maintain our client's financial records. The Bookkeeper job duties include working closely with the Accounting team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable, and manage invoices and tax payments.
To be successful in this role, the Bookkeeper will have shown a demonstrated understanding from other similar roles and should be familiar with Xero or QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, and Word. Ultimately, you responsibilities are to record all day-to-day financial transactions of the company accurately and help with A/P and payroll as-needed.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct reconciliation of all accounts on an as-needed basis
- Assist with defining, benchmarking, and implementing operational best practices
- Understand all aspects of accounting cycle for client work; billing, financial statements, general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, budgeting, revenue recognition, and other various special analyses
- Maintain documented system of accounting policies and operations
- Help Prepare and review daily, weekly, monthly financial statements for client organizations
- Help manage the monthly close process for client organizations
- Assist with management of accounting, auditing, and budgeting for client organizations
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and maintain the integrity of the information
- Work in a multitude of software packages to facilitate billing, invoicing, inventory, reporting, forecasting, etc.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years experience in accounting, finance, or other related fields
- Bachelors degree in accounting
- Fluent in English
- Resume in English
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
- Proficient skills in Xero, QBO and Microsoft Excel---or other accounting ERP
- Strong organizational skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Fast and reliable internet at home.
