Job Description
The Cost and Inventory analyst owns inventory processes for forecast and actuals, inventory reserves, and driving inventory optimization projects and strategies. The analyst will own calculating gross inventory and reserves for GAAP, Non-GAAP, and IFRS reporting. The analyst will own inventory-related SOX controls and support reserves-related audit requests. The analyst will perform reserves variance analysis, prepare slides for management reviews, and present to the co-CFOs. He or she will support the monthly forecasting process (Rolling Plan) by gathering inputs inputs, supporting Cost of Goods Sold, Gross Inventory, and reserves calculations, analyzing variances, and preparing materials for management reviews. He or she will help support P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow scenario modeling as part of the forecasting cycles, as well as in advance of investor meetings, board meetings, and other key management reviews. Finally, the analyst will have the opportunity to drive projects and influence decisions related to inventory optimization. This may include buy ahead strategies, material scrap decisions, consignment or Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) models, aged inventory disposition plans, and more. Upon mastery of core job scope, there are opportunities to expand scope further into other areas of Cost and Inventory. This role has the option of being fully remote.
Characteristics required to be successful in this role:
- Strong finance and accounting acumen; prior cost & inventory experience is a plus

Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business with 4+ years of applicable experience, or a Masters or MBA with 1+ years of applicable experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in finance, accounting, and business analysis.
- Experience in inventory management, inventory valuation, or cost accounting.
- Experience in technology, semi-conductor, or manufacturing sectors.
- Experience with SAP.
Additional Information
For California, Colorado, New York, Washington, and remote roles: The compensation range for this role is $97,250 to $153,290. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
