United States onlyThe Estimator is responsible for analyzing plans/specifications and other documentation to prepare material and labor estimates. This role interacts frequently with Sales Executives.
- Create estimates for BMS (Building Management Systems).
- Estimate material, labor and subcontractor costs for system applications per plans/specifications.
- Layout and design systems.
- Work with Operations to ensure accurate estimates.
- Perform analysis of collected data and metrics.
- Qualify new opportunities.
- Prepare technical scope of work proposals.
- Attend sales meetings and training seminars.
- Track sales activities and forecast sales opportunities in CRM.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to use MS Excel, online estimating tools, other computer programs to support technical take off.
- Good analytical skills.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with Company staff, contractors, and customers.
- Ability to work with Sales Executives to support their effort to sell.
- Previous experience in the building automation or electrical sector preferred.
